and saying, “The time has been fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has drawn near. Repent and believe in the gospel!”
And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made on account of the man, and not the man on account of the Sabbath.
So then, the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
And He entered into the synagogue again, and a man having a withered hand was there.
And they were watching Him, whether He will heal him on the Sabbaths, so that they might accuse Him.
And He says to the man having the withered hand, “Arise into the midst.”
And He says to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbaths to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent.
And having looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardness of their heart, He says to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched [it] out, and his hand was restored.
Truly I say to you⁺ that all sins and blasphemies will be forgiven the sons of men, as many as they may blaspheme.
But whoever may blaspheme in regard to the Holy Spirit does not have forgiveness to the age, but is guilty [of] eternal sin.”
And He was saying to them, “To you⁺ has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but to those who [are] outside, everything is done in parables,
so that: ‘Seeing they might see and not perceive, and hearing they might hear and not understand, lest ever they might return, and they might be forgiven.’””
and the anxieties of the age, and the deceit of riches, and the desires concerning the other things, entering, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
For John was saying to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have the wife of your brother.”
and the daughter of Herodias herself, having entered and having danced, pleased Herod and those reclining with [him]. And the king said to the girl, “Ask me whatever you wish, and I will give [it] to you.”
And having gone out, she said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” And she said, “The head of John, the one baptizing.”
And the king, having been made very sorrowful because of the oaths and those reclining, did not want to set her aside.
And He said to them, “Come, you⁺ yourselves, apart to a wilderness place, and rest a little.” For those coming and those going were many, and not even were they having opportunity to eat.
And they had seen some of His disciples, that with defiled hands—that is, unwashed—they are eating the loaves.
(For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash the hands to the fist, holding to the tradition of the elders;
and [coming] from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they immerse; and there are many other things that they received to hold to—immersions of cups and pitchers and bronze vessels and couches.)
And He said to them, “Isaiah prophesied correctly about you⁺ hypocrites, as it has been written: ‘This people honors Me with the lips, but their heart is kept far away from Me;
and in vain they worship Me, teaching [as] teachings the precepts of men.’
making void the word of God for your⁺ tradition, which you⁺ delivered. And you⁺ do many things as such.”
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil reasonings, sexual immorality, thefts, murders, adulteries,
covetous desires, wickednesses, deceit, sensuality, an evil eye, slander, pride, foolishness.
For whoever may be ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him when He shall come in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
Immediately, having cried out, the father of the child was saying, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
And if your hand may cause you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter into life crippled than, having two hands, to go away into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire.
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

where ‘their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.’
And they were bringing little children to Him so that He might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them.
And having seen, Jesus was indignant and said to them, “Permit the little children to come to Me; do not forbid them! For of such is the kingdom of God.
Truly I say to you⁺, whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall never enter into it.”
And having taken [them] in [His] arms, He was blessing them, having laid the hands on them.
And Jesus, having summoned them, says to them, “You⁺ know that those considered to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.
But it is not thus among you⁺. But whoever may want to become great among you⁺, he will be your⁺ servant;
and whoever may want to be first among you⁺, he will be slave of all.
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life [as] a ransom for many.”
Because of this, I say to you⁺, all things—as many as you⁺ pray and ask—believe that you⁺ receive, and it will be unto you⁺.
and to love Him out of all the heart and out of all the understanding and out of all the strength, and to love the neighbor as oneself is more than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
Take heed; stay awake! For you⁺ do not know when the time is.
Therefore watch, for you⁺ do not know when the master of the house comes—either at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or morning—
lest, having come suddenly, he should find you⁺ sleeping.
And what I say to you⁺, I say to all: Watch!”
And [in] their eating, having taken bread, having spoken a blessing, He broke [it] and gave to them and said, “Take; this is My body.”
And having taken the cup, having given thanks, He gave to them, and they all drank of it.
And He said to them, “This is My blood of the covenant, which is being poured out for many.
Truly I say to you⁺ that I will never [again] drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of God.”
And of Peter being below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest comes,
and having seen Peter warming himself, having looked at him, she says, “You also were with the Nazarene, Jesus.”
But he denied [it], saying, “I neither know nor understand what you say.” And he went forth out into the gateway, and the rooster crowed.
And the servant girl, having seen him, began to say again to those standing by, “This is one of them.”
But he denied [it] again. And after a little while, again those standing by were saying to Peter, “Truly you are of them, for you also are a Galilean.”
But he began to curse and to swear, “I do not know this man of whom you⁺ speak!”
And immediately a rooster crowed for the second time. And Peter remembered the word that Jesus said to him: “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” And having broken down, he began to weep.
And they crucify Him. And they divide His garments, casting a lot for them, who should take what.
And at the ninth hour, Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why did You forsake Me?”
But Jesus, having uttered a great cry, breathed His last.
And evening already having come, since it was the Preparation (that is, the day before the Sabbath),
And He said to them, “Having gone into all the world, proclaim the gospel to all the creation.
The one having believed and having been baptized will be saved, but the one having disbelieved will be condemned.
Therefore indeed the Lord Jesus, after speaking to them, was taken up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God.
